Mieko Nakabayashi joins The Growth Commission
The Growth Commission is today delighted to announce Mieko Nakabayashi as the latest Commissioner to join its ranks.
Dr Nakabayashi, currently President of the Tokyo Foundation and a Professor of Political Science at Waseda University, brings to the Commission a wealth of relevant experience, having spent nearly a decade working on the staff of the U.S. Senate Budget Committee and later serving as an elected Member of Japan’s House of Representatives.
She brings to fourteen the tally of members of the Commission, all of whom are independent experts dedicated to analysing and modelling the effect on GDP per capita growth of policy and fiscal proposals.
Mieko Nakabayashi said on joining The Growth Commission:
“I am honoured to be joining the Commission and excited about contributing to its important work. I look forward to collaborating with colleagues from around the world to advance meaningful dialogue and practical solutions. Together, we can help shape a more resilient and inclusive future.”
